Zulum Says He Did Not Order Arrest Of Those Wearing ‘Tinubu Must Go” T-Shirts

Governor Babagana Zulum of Bornostate has denied that he ordered the arrest of those wearing the ”Tinubu Must Go” T-shirts saying he was not aware ofthe arrest until yesterday.

Speaking in Maiduguri on Friday the state capital,the state governor stated that h has never ordered the arrest of members of the opposition including his crtitics, wondering why the arrest wasbeing linked tohis government.

According tohim, he’s morefcused on providing peace, security forthe peopleofthe state after manay years of the devastation left by the boko haram terrorists rather than pursuing members ofthe opposition or criticsofhis government.

He stressedthat he has been puttting his life in danger to protect residents of the state,including members of the opposition fromthe deadly attacks of the terrorists, adding that he’s not among desperate policians who  will harass opponents, accusing some mischivious  persons of raising the false allegationagainst his government.

Governor Zulum stated that the state has been under the full controlofthe ruling All Progressives Congress,APC, for many years, saying those making the false allegationsare doing so because the 2027 general election is in the corner.

He said he’s not contesting any election next year despite the fact that his adminsitration has,in the last seven years, restored peace, resettled internally displaced persons, aside from rebuiding infrastructure,s uch as hospitals,schools, and other publciproperty destryed by the terror group.
