Why I disagree With Pastor ‘Tunde Bakare’s Treatise

0

By Adewale Kupoluyi

Pastor ‘Tunde Bakare is a common name in this part of the world. He is a lawyer, right activist, teacher, author, and President, Latter Rain Assembly (End-Time Church).

In a state of the nation broadcast themed; “Unveiling the True Enemies of Nigeria”, he offered rich moments to ruminate over our national life by going down memory lane into the political history of African most populous country.

Bakare has identified his perceived true  enemies  of  Nigeria among every level  of  government,  from  the  local  to  the  state  to  the  federal  levels, and  in  every  arm  of  government.  They  can  also  be  found  on  the streets,  in  households  and  in  the  marketplace. The true enemies of Nigeria are those who seek to build their greatness upon their country’s ruin. In Nigeria, the vast majority of our people regularly take turns perpetuating the cycle of corruption either as beneficiaries or benefactors.

According to the pastor, these enemies  in  citizens’  clothing are those that choose  to  be  spectators  while  the  nation  goes down the drain on their watch; those perverts on the pulpit, who hide under togas of godliness to manipulate the vulnerable; those economic behemoths, who  window dress  their  underhandedness  with filthlanthropy;  those who  are  perpetually, those  who  sell their  votes  or  connive  with  political  bandits  to short-change  their children’s  children; those  who  partake  of  loot  and celebrate looters from the same ethnic group or religious organisation; those who say of the looters. These are the true enemies of Nigeria, he argued.

Tunde Bakare
Pastor Tunde Bakare

At  the  local  level of  government,  the  true  enemies  of our  nation are those agents   of   oppression, who place   excruciating   multiple   tax burdens on  often  defenceless Nigerians – the petty  traders,  okada riders,    keke    drivers,    bricklayers,    pepper    grinders,    carpenters, vulcanisers,  mechanics  and  other  artisans – not  because  they  want  to amass the  proceeds  for  the  benefit  of the  people, but  because  they must make remittances to their morally bankrupt political benefactors. These are the true enemies of Nigeria, he added.

At   the   state   level,   the true enemies of   Nigeria   are   those   state governments  that  feed  fat  on  unaccounted-for  security  votes;  those who deploy the paraphernalia of office in their selfish interests rather than in the  service  of  the  people;  those  who  connive  with  zonal political  oligarchs  to personalise  and privatise  the  state; those who deploy the  force  of state  to  quell  dissent; those  who paralyse  local governance   structures   in   such   a   manner   that   discredits   genuine arguments for restructuring and devolution of powers; those who give critics  an  excuse  to postulate  that if  state  governments  are  already abusing the little power they currently wield. These power-drunk state officials are the true enemies of Nigeria, he maintained. Yes, he is right.

At  the  zonal  level,  the  said enemies  of  Nigeria  are  those  who  have perverted  their  influence  and turned  the  states  within  their  zones of influence into  personal  estates.  For him, they  are  the  political  puppeteers,  who rig  the  system  to  enthrone  their  stooges  and  use  them  to  corner resources and opportunities. They are the political bandits and pseudo-democrats, who are maniacalin and merchandising the will of the people, from masterminding vote-buying to engineering seemingly spontaneous outbreaks of political violence.   These   are   the   true enemies of Nigeria. At the federal level, the true enemies of Nigeria are in every arm of government. In the judiciary, they are the judges, who pervert justice and auction judgments to the highest bidder. Agreed.

Speaking further, the cleric disclosed that in  the  legislature,  the enemies of Nigeria are   those legislators that rob   the   nation under   the   guise   of constituency  projects and are  quick  to  pass  laws  that  undermine our  national  freedoms, thereby  threatening  our  national  stability.  In the executive arm of government, the enemies of our nation are those who deploy the machinery of state against hapless citizens in a bid to protect their political careers. These are  the  true  enemies that  we  must stand  up  against, not  the angry young fellow, who throws salvos at Mr. President hoping to get a few retweets, not the journalist who stares the government squarely in  the  face, and  certainly not the  dissenting  voice  in  the  midst  of sycophants. Yes, I also agree with Bakare.

I concur with the man of God when he said providing  strong leadership  means  determining  the  most  pertinent objectives of  nation-building and,  like  a  laser  beam,  converging  all the  energies  of state onto those  critical  areas. It is also true that strong leadership means accepting dissent voices and listening to contrary views while making decisions in the best interest of the Nigerian people, and that to cultivate  strong  leadership,  the  leader  must surround   himself   or   herself   with   the   best,   brightest   and   most competent, particularly those  who  are more  intelligent than  oneself.

Perhaps, Bakare’s most salient point was the highlighting of the need for strong institutions. I reasoned with him that the focal objective in these last three years of the Buhari administration should be to strengthen institutions such as the judiciary by the   adherence   to rule   of   law, human rights,   and   respect   for   court judgments. Certainly, those who desecrate the courts must be brought to book to restore the sanctity and independence of the judiciary. It is trite that we must also strengthen    institutions of accountability by enforcing transparency in government revenue and expenditure.

It is in view of the above that, the Nigerian state must strengthen institutions of human development by laying the groundwork for effective education and healthcare policies. Not only that, we must strengthen institutions of economic growth through geo-economic re-organisation as well as pragmatic fiscal and monetary policies. To   strengthen   these   institutions,   we   must codify   best practices while embracing innovation.  We  must  also  run inclusive structures  that  bridge  trans-generational  and  gender  gaps to  ensure that the baton of success is passed on from one generation to another. This is the right way to go.

Bakare appears to have contradicted himself when he said, “Finally, as  the  government of  President  Muhammadu  Buhari ushers us  into  the  second  decade  of  the  21st century,  the  third  pivotal objective  of  governance should  be to build  a  strong post-Buhari legacy facilitated  by accurate  succession.  In this regard, Nigeria must learn from some of the best succession examples in recent history. Therefore,  even  as  we  build  institutions  of  democratic  governance,  a key responsibility that history has bestowed on President Muhammadu Buhari  at  this  turning  point  in  our  journey  to  nationhood  is  to institutionalise  systems  of  accurate  succession”.

I completely disagree with Bakare on this critical recommendation. The examples he used such as Deng Xiaoping, a second-generation Chinese leader, who laid the foundation for today’s China; South African Nelson  Mandela,  who  stepped  aside  after one  term, but  not  without  positioning  the  likes  of  Thabo  Mbeki,  and Cyril   Ramaphosa were bred in completely different socio-political milieu of stronger institutions unlike our highly neo-patrimonial society. The identified leaders also had their doses of stigma. Buhari should not anoint any leader for Nigerians. The people should be allowed to freely do so with strong electoral process that his administration should bequeath.

I completely reasoned with the pastor that “These  young  Nigerians, who  have  found  their  voices on  social  media  are  not  the  enemies  of Nigeria. They are the hope of our nation. They are simply expressing the character of our DNA and the virtues that gave us independence – virtues  such  as  the  audacity  to  assemble  as  communities,  including online  communities, and to voice their opposition  to  corruption  and oppression. If social media had been invented in the days  of  our  founding  fathers, they  would  have deployed  the  tool  in resisting colonial rule and fighting for our independence, just as they effectively  deployed  conventional  media such  as  newspapers to achieve these objectives”.

Concluding the discourse, it is when we have genuine strong state institutions that Nigeria can truly rise from our slumber at the turn of a new decade to become the architect of a new coalition that would facilitate the emergence of a New Nigeria.

Now  is  the  time  to  put  aside  religious,  zonal,  ethnic  and  other differences  and  to  speak  with  one  voice  against  the  enemies  of  our common patrimony. Yes. This is our collective aspiration. I also agree with Bakare on this in his 25-page treatise.

Breaking Extra on Australian Fires: Model raises $700k For Victims By Selling Her Nude Pictures

By Uche Mbah

Kaylen Ward, a Los Angeles Model, has raised more than thousands of dollars for the victims of the Australian fires by sending her nude pictures to anyone who can donate ten dollars to fire victims and send her proof of the donation on Instagram and twitter. At the last count, she has raised more than $700,000 and complained that she is still going through thousands of payments tweets  and sending them her nudes.

Ward has been described in the social media as the “Naked Philanthropist”, with opinion divided on whether she was right to raise funds through such unconventional means. Already, Instagram has pulled down her post on grounds that it violated their code of decency.

Australia has been facing wildfires for months, causing evacuations and so much smoke related ailments. At the last count, officials pegged the figures of those that lost their lives as 25, with millions of animals killed by the raging inferno.

Officials have been arresting some people alleged to be helping to set the forests on fire. Many American Celebrities keyed into the relief process, Including Pink and Celeste Barber. Pink donated $500,000 for the cause. But the most controversial donations came from Ward, who advertised on her twitter page, asking that anyone who donates $10 to the victims will receive a DM of  her nude pictures.

So far she has kept her words.

“I am sending nudes to every person who donates at least $10 to any one of these fundraisers for the wildfires in Australia”, she tweeted. “Every $10 you donate=one nude picture from me to your DM. You must send me Confirmation that you donated”.

With this, an avalanche of tweets hit her account, which she tries to comply with her own side of the bargain. She raised $100,000 within 24 hours. And the donations does not seem to peter out in a hurry.

“Literally, it is incredible how many people responded to my tweets and donations, and donations, and donations”, she said in a video broadcast. “Thank you so much. It is unbelievable”. She confessed she does not know how much it is going to be at the end.

While some applaud her philanthropy, many see her method as wrong and unconventional.

Breaking: 2023: Tinubu Hurries To Meet Buhari In Aso Rock

By Fola James

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC has hurried to meet President Mohammadu Buhari in Abuja.

The meeting currently holding in Aso Rock, Presidential villa may not be unconnected with the vexed issue of who succeed Buhari in 2023.

The two leaders are meeting few days after popular pastor and activist, Tunde Bakare, met with President Buhari in the villa and told him to name his successor.

The pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly, has disclosed his interest in the nation’s top job.

Meanwhile, President Buhari said he will not back anyone eyeing the presidency in 2023.

He has also warned politians not to use his name to campaign.

Tinubu’s meeting with Buhari also came few hours after Femi  Adesina, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, to the president’s interview on Channels Television, where he reiterated Buhari’s decision not to support any candidate for presidency.

According to Adesina “By May 2023 God willing he would have finished his second term as president, he would not have stood for another term and he will be exiting. So, he has that at the back of his mind.”

He said further “Pastor Bakare said he should be interested in who succeeds him, yes I’m sure the president will be interested in who succeeds him but he will not manipulate the process, to pick a successor.

The president will not pick a successor. We know him, he is not somebody like that. Will he be interested in the process? Yes, he will. He will ensure that there is a free, fair and credible election; that nobody will come to use money and resources to bamboozle his way into the leadership of the country.

It will not happen. The president will ensure free, fair and credible process; but to handpick a successor? No, he will not do that.”

Adesina, however said Buhari will not handover to looters.

Buhari will not release “Nigeria over to those who will take her back or hand Nigeria over to looters once again.

One thing that is clear is that the president will do whatever is needful before the next set of general elections.

The Imo state  government will not allow sacked local government chairmen to throw the state into crisis over their plan to resume work by force.

On Monday, the sacked chairmen claimed they have taken over 19 out of the 27 Local government councils in the state.

But Governor Emeka Ihedioha said effort by the former council boss to resort to self help will be resisted and those trying to plunge the state into violence, punished accordingly.

The sacked chairmen, it was learnt had stormed the 27 LGAs offices claiming the governor has no power to sack them.

They said the Supreme Court judgement concerning Ekiti State, has nullified power of the governor to remove them from office.

Meanwhile, the state government in its response said the apex court judgment is not a sweeping one, therefore cannot affect the state.

The special Assistant to Governor Ihedioha on New Media, AIC Akwarandu, said the governor  was popularly elected by the people of the state and the decision to sack the council chairmen was done in consultation with Imo people.

What the aggrieved former LGA chairmen are trying to do, Akwarandu said, is to roll back the achievements of Governor Ihedioha.

But the government will not allow this to happen, he said.

On his part, Sam Onwuemedo, a former  commissioner in Governor Rochas Okorocha’s government said, “The effort made by  the  PDP government in the state to get court injunction on Monday  against the resumption of duty by the elected  council chairmen and councilors failed woefully because none of the  judges approached  agreed to do that.

“Having failed on the issue of court order, the government cajoled the police, leveraging on the newness of the Commissioner of Police, who is not up to one week in the state, to  roll out tanks in some local government areas  against the chairmen and councilors and the APC members who had accompanied them to their respective LGAs headquarters to resume duty.

Osimhen Hails Amuneke For Impacting His Career

0

By Akinwale Kasali

Rave of the moment for both the Super Eagles and Lille Metropole Football Club of France, Victor Osimhen, has expressed his gratitude  to former Super Eagles player, Emmanuel Amuneke. He attributed his success to good tutorial from Amuneke.

Osimhen spearheaded the Golden Eaglets attack at the 2015 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Chile, breaking the highest goal scorer record, and becoming the first and only player till date to have scored in all the matches played at the cadet world championship.

This feat couldn’t have been achieved if not for Amuneke who coached the team to its fifth triumph at the world showpiece, making Nigeria the most decorated team in the cadet tournament.

Amuneke kept faith with the lanky young striker, assisting him to achieve the feat, which has seen him become the beautiful bride among top European Club sides.

Osimhen has remained grateful to the former Tanzanian National team coach.

In an interview, Osimhen said Amuneke impacted his career and made him what he is today.

“I would rewind to when I joined the Under-17, when I first went to the camp. In my own mentality, I felt the coach didn’t like me, I don’t know why but, for me, I thought he didn’t like me or something like that.

“Every time he would speak to me he would yell at me. On the pitch, he would do so many things to me but for me I thought he was making me to suffer or something like that. There was a time when I wanted to leave the camp. I spoke to the coordinator and he told me to be calm and be patient that the coach knows what he’s doing,” he said.

“For me I think when you have chosen this path you have to be disciplined. Discipline is the first thing, whether you have a coach or you don’t have a coach guiding you, I think discipline is the first thing, and I’m really happy I went through coach Emmanuel Amuneke.

“Everything I am today, everything I would be in the future, I attribute almost half of my success to him. Whatever I’ve achieved, he really set my path, he really made me to understand that life is not all about talent, you have to work hard, be disciplined and listen to the coach’s instruction, either on the pitch or off the pitch. I think other players that played under him can testify, not just me.”

Osimhen scored a total of 23 club goals in 2019 for Charleroi (11) and Lille (13). He has also featured in all but one league game (18) for Lille, while also featuring in five UCL games.

Barcelona, Liverpool, Chelsea, Wolfsburg Football Club Sides are all jostling for his signature.

Iran vs US: US Issues Travel Advisory On Nigeria

United States of America Embasay

By Uche Mbah

The increasing tension between Iran and the United States is already having a ripple effect on Nigeria with the latter issuing travel advisory to its citizens in Nigeria, or intending to travel to Nigeria. Already the Inspector General of Police has ordered Security beef up in the country in view of the demonstrations that followed the murder of the Iranian General, Qassem Soleimani by the Shia group, under the aegis of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria. The group has called for “death to the United states”. Iran has already placed o $10 million to be given to anyone that will bring back the head of Donald trump, the US president, to the Iranian Supreme leader, Ayatollah Al Khamenei.

A statement posted on the certified site of the US consulate advised citizens to stay alert in public places and to review travel routes.

“While we have no specific threat information, it is prudent to remind ourselves of the following personal security actions to follow on a regular basis”, the advisory noted.
“Actions To Take: Be aware of your surroundings; Keep a low profile; Stay alert in public places, including schools, hospitals, government facilities, places of worship, tourist locations, and transportation hubs. “Review and alter travel routes and times to reduce time and place predictability; Avoid crowds and demonstrations; Exercise caution when walking or driving at night; Carry proper ID; Review your personal security plans; Monitor local media for updates; Review the Travel Advisory for Nigeria”, the advisory reads.

Nigeria thus joins the list of countries that the American government raised security concerns about. In the heat of the killings, US and Canada had insisted that their citizens should leave Iran, Iraq and their allies. Attempts by the Iranians to bomb the US Embassy in Tehran could not succeed.

Meanwhile, the funeral of the dead Soleimani drew millions of Iranians, arguably the largest funeral train in History, amid fears of Cyber attacks on the US. US President Trump has slammed more sanctions on Iran after the Iranian Parliament decided that Americans should be expelled from the Country.

Business Owners Kick Over Hike In Electricity Tarrifs

0
By Fola James
Hundreds of businesses are in peril of shut down in the face of recent increase in electricity tariffs by the federal government, business ownres have warned.
The National Electricity Regulatory Agency, NERC  had in the new year approved various increase  for Discos across the country.
The increase is expected to fetch over N1 trillion, which the government said is badly required to develop the sector.
But manufacturers said the increase will likely spiral the cost of production, sending many business owners out of business.
The manufacturer Association of Nigerian, the umbrella body of producers in the country said the decision was not a good one.
According to MAN, in a statement, the federal government should ensure the availability of electricity in the country before contemplating any tariff increase.
MAN said “We are still waiting for clarifications from the NERC on the tariff increment. The manufacturing sector is unhappy with the power situation in the country both in terms of availability and quantum and the price.
The industrial consumers are already the ones paying the highest rate and subsidising other consumers. So, to continue to increase the tariff when neither the quantum nor the quality of electricity supply has improved is not fair to the manufacturing and industrial sectors.
“We do understand that the power sector is in a very difficult situation and a lot needs to be done to firm things up. It goes beyond just increasing tariff.”
The sector should be totally overhauled for maximum performance, the association said “The sector needs to be completely restructured and overhauled.
They should ensure that proper capacity is built and the private operators, especially at the distribution level, must have the capacity and resources to run this sector properly.
That really goes beyond just throwing money into the sector. Already, the government has invested hugely in terms of capital and interventions. Over a trillion naira has been thrown into this sector with very little improvement to show for it.”
MAN further said “Increase tariff and injecting funds into the system is not the solution that will get us out of this situation. In the manufacturing sector, electricity is one of the most critical inputs.
There is no way our products can be competitive if we have to cope with this kind of energy supply and the cost of it. Clearly, we cannot continue to do what we have been doing all over again. Something drastic must be done to change the situation.
It should not be business as usual again. A very radical solution must be found to get us out of here. But we are still discussing with the regulatory body about this tariff increment.”

Bode George Plans To Quit PDP; Carpets Party; Good Riddance To Bad Rubbish, Members Say

0
Bode George

By Charles Igbo

If the pronouncement by Chief Bode George is to be taken seriously, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, may soon lose one of its staunch members.

After holding high profile positions in the party, the last being its Deputy National Chairman, Bode George says there is the likelihood that he would ditch the party in order to consummate his ambition.

And the ambition? George, who retired as a Navy Commodore, and quickly joined politics, says he wants to run for the presidency of Nigeria in 2023.

Nobody knows if he is serious, or just talking. But he says he would not contest on the platform of his party, the PDP.

He stopped short of labelling the party a disappointment, emphasising that the PDP had failed to play its role as an opposition party.

Speaking to The Punch Newspaper, Bode George said he was not likely to contest on the PDP platform.

George: “The PDP has not lived up to its potential. The APC is made up of a bunch of opportunists. Everything is just going bad in the country.”

Meaning: he would contest on a new platform.

This magazine reliably gathered  that there have been talks on the formation of a new mega party, to challenge both the PDP and the APC in 2023, but the thought of such a party, nominating Bode George as its Presidential candidate, most people say, is remote.

Even though he said one of the many thrusts of his government would be to unify the country, which he said has been fractured, and on the verge of collapse, his main reason for deciding to run for the Presidency seems to be to settle a personal and political score with APC chieftain, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. George says he would run for the Presidency , especially since speculation remain strong that Tinubu would run for the Presidency in 2023. He said if true, he would run against Tinubu.

George:”I was approached by many people to contest, especially now that Bola Tinubu is said to be planning to contest. I have not said yes or no since 2023 is still far. But yes, I will like to contest against Tinubu in 2023.”

For years, there has been no love lost between the two men.

Politically, they belong to different parties and they don’t agree. Their relationship worsened when a Lagos High Court imprisoned Bode George   over alleged contract splitting as Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority.

An Appeal Court later declared him innocent, and freed him from jail.

George holds Tinubu responsible for his ordeal.

However, his hint that he may quit the PDP has attracted harsh reactions, and so has his desire to challenge Bola Tinubu for the Presidency in 2023.

A section of the party says members cannot wait to see him leave the party.

“He is a clog in the wheel of progress of the party,” a Lagos PDP top shot who pleaded anonymity told this magazine.

Continuing he said: Bode George has been a destabilising force in the Lagos PDP. He wants to be the PDP leader in Lagos. No problem, except that he does not act like a leader. He is always quarreling with one party member or the other. His quarrel with his former ally, Jimmy Agbaje, is legendary. It will not be out of place to say that he is one of the reasons for the party’s bad outings in Lagos.”

Another party member said he had a good laugh when he was told Chief George plans to run for the Presidency in 2023.

“Talk is free. It is his privilege to talk and aspire. But which party will field him? That party has failed already. He wants to run because Tinubu is also planning to run? Anyway, he is not serious. How does he think he could challenge Tinubu?

“Number one, he does not have Tinubu’s reach nationally. He does not even have as much followers in the South West as Tinubu does. Number two, he has never defeated Tinubu in Lagos before. Let him start by defeating Tinubu in Lagos first.

“His claim that people are asking him to run is false. Nobody did. He is on an ego trip. But, it is his decision.  I wish him well.”

However, neither Tinubu nor George has publicly categorically confirmed any aspiration in 2023. Their aides are doing the talking for them.

Tinubu already has a 2023 national media team.

Inaugurating the National Executive  Committee of the  Tinubu Media Team, TMT2023, Abdullahi Umar Farouk,  Legislative Aide to Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives said: “Tinubu would succeed  President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, in recognition of his contributions to the development of the country’s democracy.”

A three-time member of the House of Representatives, Farouk is from Kebbi state. Gbajabiamila is a Tinubu acolyte.

Last Friday, Bode George’s Special Adviser, Mr Uthman Shodipe-Dosunmu, flaunting an authority from George to announce his interest in the Presidency in 2023, said his Principal will run for Presidency in 2023.

Iran Hoists Historic Red Flag of Doom,Appoints New Commander

0

The Iranian authorities have hoisted a symbolic red flag  over the dome of the Jamkarān Mosque, located in the city of Qom, in an aftermath of the US strike that saw the US stocks tumble and wide condemnations from the Arab world.

The red flag, a symbol that has not been hoisted in Iran in recent history, is said to symbolize extreme danger, indicating a declaration of a war that will redraw the political map of the world in blood, according to reports. The Jamkaran mosque is the most important mosque in Iran.

The US Pentagon, however, ruled out further strikes as yet as they monitor the Iranian response to what the Iranian authorities called an assassination.

Two rockets have been fired at the US embassy in Iran after the killings amid the US and Canada calling Americans to leave Iran, but reports indicate that there were no casualties.

There has been widespread demonstrations in Iran against the killings-and against America-with the Shia group in Nigeria also adding their voice in the condemnation of the attack that President Trump said was done to prevent a devastating war. But analysts believe it is more likely to achieve the opposite. Iran has claimed they have marked out areas of possible strikes on American interests, the supreme leader calling the killing a “Grave mistake.” Democrats in the US are latching on the strike to push for the impeachment of Trump, insisting he ordered the strike in order to win sympathy votes in the upcoming elections. A video has surfaced online showing Trump accusing a former democratic president of planning to attack Iran to gain credibility at the polls. Iran appears to be the whipping child for American political odysseys.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has replaced the head of the Revolutionary Guards Corps days after the United States designated the elite strike force a foreign terrorist organization. Brigadier General Hossein Salami, the new military chief, has been rumored in diplomatic quarters to have been linked to the 2010 arms interception in Nigeria, which was alleged to have been brought into Nigeria in controversial circumstances. A Tehran businessman, Azim Aghajani, was arrested and prosecuted by Nigerian authorities in connection with the arms shipment, which was appears to be on transit, in contravention of a UN arms embargo on Iran.

The Iranian government also appointed Esmail Ghaani to directly replace the slain major general Qassem Soleiman.  He was Souleimani’s deputy in the Quds Force for 13 years, and has direct responsibility for, financial disbursements to affiliate  groups like Hezbollah, according to the US. He appears to have been more directly linked to the shipment, which included Rocket Launchers, Grenades and 107mm rockets.

Aghajani was convicted in May 2013 on four of five charges relating to the shipment alongside his Nigerian accomplice and shipping agent, Usman Abbas Jega.
