Ahead of the 2027 elections, and as political activities and consultations intensify across Ebonyi State, the Senator representing South Senatorial District, Okorie Ani, has attributed his performance to inexperience as a first timer.
He has, therefore, appealed to the people of the State to give him another opportunity to serve in the Senate by voting for him during the 2027 general elections.
Ani, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), made the appeal in Abakaliki while reflecting on his journey into the National Assembly and his performance in office.
The Lawmaker said some of the things he has been unable to accomplish during his first term could be attributed to his limited resources, limited connections and background before entering the Senate.
“Some of the things I have not done could be as a result of inability. I went to the Senate as a common teacher. We are not known for affluence.
“I went there as a poor man, and all these while, I have been trying to find my feet. I am sure if I go back, I must have found my feet.”
He appealed to Ebonyians, particularly, his constituents in Ebonyi South, to support his ambition for a second term, promising to do more if given another opportunity.
“I need your total support. Let there be no sabotage,” the senator pleaded, urging his supporters to remain united and committed to his re-election bid.
