On Thursday, September 26, 2026, at the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State put smiles on the faces of 6,030 newly recruited teachers and 345 non-teaching staff with a firm promise that their welfare will be a priority for his Government.
During the unprecedented historic event, the Governor presented symbolic computer tablets to some of them, and asked others to collect theirs after a biometric capture.
Present at the event were the Deputy Governor of the State, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru, the Commissioner for Primary and Secondary Education, Professor Bernard Ikegwuoha, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Hon. Sunday Dare, Secretary to the State government, Chief Cosmas Iwu, the Chief of Staff, Barr Nnamdi Anyaehie, and members of the State Expanded Executive Council.
