Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Minister, who had previously tested negative three times, tested positive the fourth time.
Announcing his positive status on his Twitter handle, Sunday Onyeama said: “Did my fourth COVID-19 test yesterday at the first sign of throat irritation, and unfortunately, this time, it came back positive. That is life. Win some, lose some.
“Heading for Isolation in a health facility, and praying for the best.”
The Minister thus joins the long list of high profile Nigrians, including serving Governors who have contracted the disease.
