Wike: Atiku, Obi Can’t Be Trusted As President, They Are Gamblers

Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, has urged Nigerians to cast their votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 election, saying the incumbent can be trusted.

According to the FCT Minister, other presidential candidates are ‘’gamblers’’ who are only in the race because of what they want to get out of it.

The minister made this assertion on Friday, in Rivers state during a political meeting in Ayama, Abua/Odual Local Government Area, LGA, while soliciting support for President Tinubu who’s seeking a reelection next year.

Apart from Tinubu other presidential candidates include former vice President Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra state, amongst others.

Next year’s presidential race has been described by political analysts as a three-horse race between Tinubu, Obi and Abubakar.

Wike however said President Tinubu is the only candidate that can be trusted among the three, saying the incumbent ha proved what’s capable of doing, judging from his track records in more that three years as the nation’s commander -in chief and President.

He urged Nigerians not to entrust their ‘’destiny’’ in the ands of the other presidential candidates who he described as ‘’kalokalo’’.

“Don’t trust your destiny to political gamblers. Don’t trust your destiny to ‘kalokalo’ people,” he said.

He added: “These people are political gamblers and you cannot give your destiny to ‘kalokalo‘ people; you cannot hand over your destiny to political gamblers. Give a destiny to somebody who we know, who has tried all this, and he has done it.”
