The West African Examination Council, WAEC, has declared there was no fire incident at its Abuja office.
It descibed the news carried by a number of Online Platforms, including this Platform as a misinformation.
In a statement, it said: “We wish to reassure all candidates, other stakeholders and members of the general public that all our security materials are in tact”.
However, this magazine can confirm that the fire outbreak, credited to have been at WAEC, was actually at the headquarters of the Economic Council of West African Commission, ECOWAS, mis-identified as WAEC building.
