US Ban: Ohaneze Names Election Riggers Of Igbo Extraction, Sends Same To US, UK, EU |The Source

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, OYC, Worldwide, has applauded the recent travel ban on  Riggers in the country.

The Group described the Travel ban and Visa restrictions slammed by the United States of America  on some individuals that had serially abused the electoral Processes, engaged in electoral frauds, manipulations and rigging, as the answered prayers of Nigerians. It decried the continuous intimidation from sacred cows and untouchables, that had serially raped the people’s Electoral Verdicts at the polls.

It also stressed that these acts were carried out  through their nefarious activities and collaborations with Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Security Agencies and the Judiciary.

OYC had collected over 95,000 signatories from Igbo Youths across Seven Igbo Speaking States including Anioma in Delta and Rivers States, and others in diaspora, that endorsed the Petition titled ” Proponents of Stolen Mandates in Igboland”.

The Group’s  is Mandated to pursue vigorously these Petitions against some Igbo Politicians, who occupy  political kffices through stolen mandates in Igboland.

The five-lage petition, signed by the Group’s National President, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and Mazi Okwu Nnabuike,  Secretary General, urged for the extension of U.S Travel Ban and Visa Restrictions to those Igbo politicians and their families,and urged the European Union and United Kingdom to replicate the same severe sanctions on indicted Igbo Electoral Offenders  and riggers without mercy to serve as a deterrent to others in the future.

Top on the list are one sitting Governor, two former Governors , Members of National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly Members.

The lists was sent to the US Congress, European Union Parliament in Brussels, Belgium, and others recently.

The Group said the Travel Ban and Visa restrictions on the people shortlisted will strengthen all the democratic institutions in Nigeria, and instill faith in Nigerians that their votes will count in  future elections, and will accelerate President Muhammadu Buhari’s efforts to send a New Electoral Reform Bill to National Assembly.

It added that Igbo Youths will further Pressurize the international community to extend the Visa restrictions  to those behind the sponsored killings of Christians in Nigeria.
