Minister of Works, Dave Umahi now has his own son to watch his back for him at his home Local Government Area, Ohaozara Ebonyi State.
This is because his son,
Osborn Nweze Umahi, 28, is now the Chairman of the Local Government Area thus, consolidating the Umahi political dynasty.
The jnr. Umahi, popular in Ebonyi as the young billionaire, was officially sworn-in on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
At his inauguration ceremony which, of course, attracted every who-is-who, politically, in the State, his proud father, the Minister of Works, who was a former Governor of the State, was present. He was not only present as the father of the new Chairman, but as the special guest.
Umahi junior was overwhelmingly, on Saturday, August 22, elected the Chairman of Ohaozara Local Government Area under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speculations are that he is a future Governor of the State, following his father’s footsteps.
