Terrorists Abduct Kebbi State High Court Judge From Residence

The Kebbi State Police Command has assured  that all necessary machineries have been activated to rescue the abducted Judge of the State High Court, Honourable Justice, Faruku Hassan Bunza.

 

Justice Bunza was abducted in the wee hours of Sunday July 26,2026 from his Zogirma Road residence in Bunza Local Council of the State by banditry elements 

 

According to  eyewitness accounts ,hordes of heavily armed men had invaded Justice Bunza’s home between late Saturday night and 1 am on Sunday and whisked him away.

 

The suspected hoodlums  trailed the Judge from Sokoto to his home local council of Bunza .

“He had just returned from Sokoto when the gunmen stormed his residence and took him away” a witness volunteered .

 

Although the gunmen reportedly shot indiscriminately in the air to scare residents ,they neither harmed nor took away any member of the Judge’s household or residents of the sleepy Bunza town.

 

Confirming the development, Bashir Usman, the spokesperson for the Kebbi State Police Command informed that the  Commissioner of Police, Umar Muhammad Hadejia, has deployed operatives from the tactical and intelligence units to hunt down the perpetrators as well as ensure the safe release of the Judge.

 

According to him, operatives are currently combining all nearby forests and suspected terrorists’ hideouts in the area in a bid to locate and rescue the victim.

” I can confirm that Hon Justice Faruku Hassan Bunza was abducted from his residence in Bunza at about midnight on Saturday.

 

“Our personnel are combing identified locations, including forest areas to ensure the safe rescue of the Judge,”Usman stated.
