It could have been a fanfare, exquisite celebration and renewal of their marital vows made on September 11th, 2004. But, sadly, the long arms of the law made sure it become an illusion.
Detained Publisher of Sahara Reporters cum politician, Omoyele Sowore, could have marked his 15th year marriage anniversary with his soulmate, Opeyemi Sowore, but this was not possible. The activist is in the cell of the Department of State Security, DSS.
Though troubled by the present situation which has rendered him helpless, Sowore sent a message to his Sweetheart on their anniversary,  reassuring her of his promise that he will always love her.
Opeyemi disclosed: “My husabnd sent me a text message on our wedding anniversary that he loves me”,
The Action Alliance Congress, AAC, Presidential Candidate at the last general elections has been in the DSS custody following the #RevolutionNow protest against the President Muhammadu Buhari administration. He was the arrow head of the partially successful protest.
He was arrested on the eve of the protest, and has been charged to court on allegations of Treason by the Federal Government.
