Vacationing President Bola Tinubu, in the run-up to his second term re-election, has appointed
Prince Adetokunbo Ademola Ade-John his Senior Special Assistant on Transportation and Mobility.
Ade-John’s appointment takes effect from August 27, 2026. His brief is to strengthen coordination and policy implementation across key transportation institutions.
Currently, President Tinubu is away to Europe on a three-week vacation in preparation for his re-election campaign which promises to be hectic.
According to the details of the appointment, his new position will be governed by the terms and conditions contained in the Current Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.) (Amendment) Act, 2008.
Ade-John is saddled with the mandate of strengthening coordination and policy implementation across key transportation institutions.
Described as agrassroot politician, he was a Special Assistant to the Minister of Tourism. He was, also, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Apex Youth leader across the globe.
He is expected to bring his experience to advancing the administration’s transportation and mobility agenda.
As Senior Special Assistant to the President on Tourism, Ade-John will work alongside stakeholders—including the Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John—to integrate community tourism into the administration’s broader economic growth strategies.
