Only Parties Which Zone Presidency To South Will Get Support – Southern And Middle Belt Forum

SMBLF Leaders

By Uche Mbah

The Southern and Middle Belt Leaders’ Forum (SMBLF), a joint forum comprising leaders of South east, South South, South-West, and North  Central, rose from a joint meeting to declare that political parties in the country must, as a matter of urgency, zone its Presidential ticket to the South, or no dice.

North Central states are generally regarded as the middle belt region.

In a communiqué issued after a meeting Thursday in Abuja, the group said the North must have completed eight years of rulership at the end of the Buhari administration, and, therefore, must allow power to rotate to the South.

Signatories to the communiqué are Edwin Clark, an Ijaw national leader; Ayo Adebanjo, Afenifere leader, George Obiozor, President-general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, and Pogu Bitrus, National President, Middle Belt Forum.

“The meeting extensively discussed various issues on the state of affairs in the country, particularly, the security situation, restructuring, preparations for the 2023 elections and zoning.”

The communiqué reads.

“That the extant Constitution and Structure of Nigeria are grossly flawed and lopsided. Accordingly, Forum restates its demand for the fundamental restructuring of the country by enacting a new Constitution that would enthrone equity, fairness and justice. It must be One Nation, One System.”

The communiqué also “Cites that the northern part of the country would have fully enjoyed the Office of the Presidency of the country for the full statutory period of 8 years by 2023, hence, the presidency should rotate to the South; Therefore, unequivocally, and  in full resolve, call on all political parties in the Country to zone their Presidential tickets to the South.

“Advices that any political party that does not zone its Presidential ticket to the South should not expect support from the four regions;

“Notes that the basis of any viable democracy, especially in a diverse and complex country such as Nigeria, is fair and even sharing of power.”

The forum also condemned in stronv terms the “senseless killings of innocent citizens” across the country, particularly in the north-west.

According to the forum, the National Assembly and Governors should commit themselves to restructuring and Nigeria’s unity “situated on the tenets of equity, fairness, justice, and the principle of federalism”.

N350B Adapalm Investment: Uzodimma Raps Roche Group, Host Communities

0
Hope Uzodinma

Imo State, Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has met with Roche Group, Representatives of Adapalm host communities, and Equity Stakeholders on how best to maximise the N350b investment in Adapalm by Roche Group through the Public Private Partnership (PPP).

Speaking to all the groups at the Sam Mbakwe Executive Chamber Government House Owerri on Thursday, the Governor informed that his  Government had succeeded in ensuring amicable settlement with Roche Group over hitherto contentious issues and in a manner that would engender a win win situation in the Adapalm project.

The Governor told the Stakeholders from the Adapalm host communities that through the PPP arrangement, the Imo State government has an equity of 14 percent, the host communities, five percent, while the Board and Management of the Company will work out from the remaining percentage the equity to accommodate other interest groups.

The Governor told the host communities  that the N350 billion investment in Adapalm by Roche is not a small investment, hence they must cooperate among themselves to create an enabling environment that would make it possible for them to reap bountifully from the profit and dividends of the Company as equity holders.

Governor Uzodimma reminded the people that he invited them to formerly discuss the proposed programmes and plans that are afloat to relaunch Adapalm in a big way and the need for them to take advantage of the deal and to be part of the success story, going forward.

He also said that the meeting was to listen to the Stakeholders on anything they want government to do regarding the new arrangement so as to take that into consideration.

Governor Uzodimma said: “Government can no longer run Adapalm alone. That is why government has gone into partnership with the Roche Group for the continued management of Adapalm.

“For some time now, government and Roche were in court concerning the original MOU and terms of agreement that were not consistent with the 3R mantra.

“Today, through the PPP arrangement government has resolved whatever differences there were with Roche Group so as to have a win-win situation and allow the Company to continue in the management of Adapalm.

“The government has restructured the former agreement where Adapalm is to be run based on the new members of same Roche Group.”

Governor Uzodimma, therefore, appealed to those who have been formerly and informally harvesting from Adapalm to desist from such and align themselves with the new arrangement so as to benefit more from the establishment, both in terms of infrastructure development in their communities and employment opportunities for their wards.

The Governor reiterated that if the new deal is allowed to fester as planned the story of unemployment of Imo youths would be a thing of the past as Roche Group has the capacity to engage thousands of hands due to the Company’s ability to explore Adapalm environment for other value chains.

Present at the meeting were the Deputy Governor,  Prof. Placid Njoku, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie, Commissioners and other top government functionaries.

The stakeholders were led to the meeting by the former Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Goodluck Opiah, now Commissioner for Petroleum, IMC Chairmen of Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area,  Marcel Amadioha and that of Oguta Local Government Area, Emma Mazi.

The traditional rulers of the host Communities and other opinion leaders from the host communities were properly represented.

Concerned Indigene Raises Alarm Over Illegal Gold Miners In Osun

0

By Ayodele Oni

A concerned indigene of Osun State has written to Governor Gboyega Oyetola urging him to urgently check activities of some illegal gold miners now trooping into the State.

In an open letter to the Governor, Engineer Adebisi Arinloye, noted that it has become alarming the rate at which illegal gold miners troop to the State from the Northern part of the country where they have been displaced.

In the letter, titled. Before Our Oasis of Peace Degenerates to a Desert of Insurgence,  Arinloye  pointed out that “mad men with serious criminal intent and terrorism as core values (apology to Chief Obasanjo) are about to completely seize our cutlass of security in this State, courtesy of ongoing and dangerously expanding artisan mining activities on our land.

“In the first place Sir, Gold mining (even when carried out under the best of regulations and precautions) is perhaps the most destructive industry in the world, this I know by virtue of my training as a Geophysicist (with special interest in hydrogeology and groundwater).

“Gold mining effects are irrecoverably devastating to ecology and ecosystem as it alters landscape irretrievably and poses the greatest of threats to the oldest industry in human history; food production industry.

“Perpetually present at gold mining sites are deadly pollutants such as zinc, cyanide, mercury and similar heavy metals that pose grave danger to both surface and groundwater.

“These materials are capable of remaining at the mining sites for more than 50 years after the mining activity has ended.

“Mining unearths huge amount of ores that bear these precious substances; gold, silver and other sulfides which on reaction with water in the presence of air produce sulfuric acids which most time seep into surface and groundwater, this is referred to as ACID MINE DRAINAGE.

“Acid mine drainage is over 200 times more lethal on surface water, groundwater, soil fertility, and pollination than acid rain.

“No society in human history is resilient to the impact of quality water shortage because the strand of quality water availability and growth in one hand and the lack of it and bone-crushing poverty in another hand are closely knit.

“Osun state is named after River Osun, as of today Your Excellency, this hitherto natural endowment is speedily becoming a poisonous liability to Osun people.

“As a matter of fact Sir, this great River and many of its tributaries across the State are on the verge of being completely ruined on the altar of reckless gold mining activities. Your Excellency Sir, gold is not more precious than water.

“Whoever consumes water polluted by heavy metals automatically becomes a candidate of either trachea or lung cancer, researches on global cancer statistics continues to indicate scary upsurge in areas where mining activities are prevalent.

“While our surface and groundwater are under serious threat, for now, surface water is the worst hit and we have a sacred duty to do something before it is too late.

“Your Excellency, the future of our public water supply lies in the dammed surface water and we have a crucial duty to protect it.

“I do not know whether His Excellency has noticed the sudden disappearance of those fishermen, mostly Hausas, who used to operate on Osun River?

“Yes, they have disappeared almost completely because their naturally occurring yet dependable engine of economic opportunity has suffered an awful rape from metallic pollution.

“Their harvests must have been very poor in quantity and quality, and hence their abandonment of what must have turned an unrewarding adventure for them.

“After years of massive yet blind gold exploitation in some parts of Northwest, the gold deposit began to wane, the blood-sucking ‘shylock’ masquerading as gold mining investors began to migrate elsewhere, leaving behind army of youthful labourers with squandered hope, ruined future and whose only inheritance in the heinous trade were weapons procured for them by their criminal employers.

“The awkward template of a state like Zamfara on gold mining operations seems to be what we are now adopting in Osun state, their perilous blueprint appears to be guiding our operations, while fully armed gold mining labourers of well-established criminal portfolios from their region are daily trooping in massively to lead artisan mining operations on our goldmines that are scattered all over the state.

“Expectedly, it has been stories of rapes, of harassments, of intimidations, of forceful eviction of original land owners, of destructions of crops, buildings and valuable properties and of maiming and even cold-blooded killings of our people.

“This is indeed worrisome Your Excellency and it is important you act before it becomes too late.

“Unless you act and urgently too Your Excellency, we may be heading towards the most violent and abominable episode of our history as a people in Osun state, nay Yoruba land. May the good Lord help you Sir.”

It is believed that the unprecedented insecurity in Zamfara State, is a consequence of the illegal gold mining activities in the State. The illegal miners seem to be shifting their activities to Osun State since after the Federal Government’s clampdown on them.

The fear is that Osun State could be reduced to Zamfara State sooner than later if nothing is done to checkmate the situation.

Osun APC Is Divided – Rauf Aregbesola

0

By Ayodele Oni and Akinwale Kasali

Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, on Friday said, categorically, that the All Progressive Congress, (APC) in Osun state is factionalized.

Early this week, a Recondition Committee from the National Headquarters of the APC led by Senator Abdullahi Adamu, was in the state to mend fences for aggrieved members of the party.

The relationship between Governor Gboyega Oyetola,  and Aregbesola has not been cordial since he became Governor, despite that he served as the Chief of Staff to Aregbesola when he was Governor.

The last Congress of the party in the state produced two parallel Executives – one loyal to Aregbesola and the other one to Governor Oyetola.

At an event on Friday in Ilesha, the Minister  declared himself as one of the members of The Osun Progressives (TOP), one of the groups of the All Progressives Congress in the state.

This is contrary to insinuation and belief from some Government officials that Aregbesola was not involved in the activities of TOP in the State.

He made the declaration at the commisioning of the Digital Nigeria Centre (DNC) in Ijesa Muslim Grammar School, Ilesa.

The Minister declared that “I belong to TOP, the group established to correct the wrong within the APC.

“I greet the Chairman of APC, Honourable Rasaki Salinsile, the Chairman of my own APC in Osun.”

A group loyal to Governor Oyetola had told the Reconciliation Committee during its fence mending visit to the State that Salinsile was not recognized as Chairman of APC in Osun state.

The National Reconciliation Committee had met the leadership of the party in the state led by Hon. Rasaq Salinsile.

Speaking with newsmen at the end of the meeting, Chairman of the Reconcilation Committee, Senator Adamu, expressed optimism that the crisis in the party in Osun would be resolved.

“We are very encouraged with the presentations of the party members. The people have been straightforward, they have been very honest in their various submissions and we have taken note of the comments, contributions and the interventions they made.

“We are a Committee, we were sent by the party. We will take all of these things. Where we have reasons that are tangible in the petitions, we listen to the petitioners, then we make our report to the people that appointed us.”

In his submission before the Committee, the APC Chairman in  Osun state, Alhaji Rasaq Salinsile, said his executives at the meeting demanded that Governor Adegboyega Oyetola should resign from the National Caretaker and Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee, since he has declared intention to contest for second term.

Salinsile said his faction also demanded for the validation of the ward, local and state congresses it conducted in the State.

“Our demands were two. One, our executives from the ward, local government and state levels of the party in the state of Osun should be recognised.

“We also want Governor Oyetola to resign from the National Caretaker Committee. Since he has declared to contest for second term and the National Secretariat, which he (Oyetola) is part of will conduct the primaries, then he cannot be a judge in his own case.

“His involvement in the lingering crisis in the party is not an understatement as he has no doubt influenced the decisions of the committees earlier sent to the state.

“We are hopeful that this committee won’t be like the others and will do what is just and right.”

With Aregbesola’s open declaration for TOP,  the party has further been polarized  and it certainly spells a long walk ahead for  Oyetola and the APC.

Political analysts and  observers of Osun State politics are of the opinion that the crisis in the APC could avail the opposition Party an edge and,  thus, a victory at the upcoming Governorship  polls.

For months,  there  speculations have been strong that there is a rift between APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,  and Aregbesola. The Minister’s declaration for TOP has confirmed that this may not be further from the truth.

Governor Oyetola is a cousin to Tinubu, and Tinubu was the  mastermind of Aregbesola’s  victory at the polls for two consecutive terms.

For Aregbesola to be working against the re-election of Oyetola speaks volumes.

Though, he campaigned and supported the election of Oyetola as Governor in 2018, things have since changed, and both men have fallen apart.

Aregbesola, has also, surprisingly, not commented on the Presidential ambition of Tinubu in 2023.

Defence Chief, Irabor Says Coup No Longer Popular

Lucky Irabor CDS

By James Orji

General Lucky Irabor, the Chief of Defense Staff says the days of military intervention in Nigeria’s polity are over. He said Democracy has come to stay in Nigeria.

His admonition comes on the heels of recent military coups in Africa, for instance in Mali, Guinea and Sudan where military ruler Abdel Fattah al-Burhan forced Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok to resign following massive violent protests across the country.

Irabor made the pledge, on Friday, during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, where he commended the efforts of military personnel ahead of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

Much of the country’s history since she attained independence in 1960 has been tainted by military coups, before the eventual return to democracy in 1999.

Not a few Nigerians have insisted that they preferred constitutional democracy to military rule, a view supported by the Defence chief who said soldiers must remain in the barracks and play their subordination role to civilian rule.

According to Irabor, “today, I believe that Nigerians are no longer in doubt as to the subordination of the military to civil rule; I believe that no one is in doubt that democracy has come to stay.

“I believe that no one is in doubt any longer that the current military leadership, and of course, since the democratisation in 1999, that the military is well focused to perform its constitutional roles.”

Gen. Irabor said the military have been tainted with their intervention in politics, adding that the military is now refocused to playing its subordination role.

He also spoke about the significance of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day usually marked on January 16.

He said, “I am sure you also know that issues that have to do with civic responsibilities still require a little push; I am sure you know that literacy level in the nation still requires a little push; and so when you bring these factors among several other things, you know that quite a lot of work needs to be done.

“Going forward, I believe that some of these misperceptions that some Nigerians have had with respect to military engagement will begin to change.”

Drugs Allegation: Obi Cubana Replies NDLEA

Obi Cubana

By James  Orji

Popular socialite Obi Iyiegbu, aka Obi Cubana has pushed back at those who says he may be dealing in hard drugs, following his interrogation by the NDLEA on Wednesday.

Recall that the businessman was also quizzed last year by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Cubana who shot into limelight, last year, after he threw a massive party for his late mum in Oba, Anambra state was guest of the Gen. Buba Marwa (retd)-led anti-narcotic agency for allegedly receiving funds from drug dealers. He was later released and is deemed to appear on a later date for further questioning.

But in what could be regarded as his response to the suggestion that he fronts for drug traders, the night club operator, said in his social media page that he’s a legitimate businessman and has never been involved in shady business.

In a post on his page, on Thursday, he revealed that he established his first club in Abuja 15 years ago and has been involved in other businesses.

According to him, his first night club was, “established 13th October 2006, 16 years and still standing. If you never come here that year for Abuja, you never start. This year: showcasing what we do for a living.”

The popularity of the Cubana has soared after the well-attended party he threw for his late mum last year, with the debate over his source of wealth also becoming controversial.

Among other things, the businessman has recently built a church in his home town as part of his philanthropy. In response to suggestions that his source of wealth is not clean, Cubana said last year that he built his fortunes through hard work.

He was supported by Aisha Yesufu, a human rights activist who said Cubana and his friends may have actually made their fortunes legitimately.

Yesufu said “I want to talk about what happened in Nigeria recently that set everyone’s tongue wagging and that is the burial of someone known as Obi Cubana at Oba, Anambra State.

“A lot of people were like ‘oh no! How can this happen? It’s not their money. There was such a temptatious display of money.

“I’ve listened to different comments and watched many videos and there was a money fight just like you have food fight right? And the musicians were throwing bundles of money at each other.

“And somehow, some people were outraged, some people liked it, some did not bother about it but I think many people do not understand that the money is in business.

“Most times when you see people who have money it’s either the person has done money ritual. I saw a brief of one of the videos Obi Cubana did and he was like, the native doctor that wants to do ritual for you, his child is fetching water from the stream. He has no money.

“The pastor or Imam telling you they would help you get money, how much do they have? All these things come from hard works, smart works, networking, constantly learning and being prudent, delayed gratification.”

What I will Do Differently If Elected Ekiti Governor – Reps Member

0
Olufemi Bamisile

By Ayodele Oni

A member of the House of Representatives, now a Governorship aspirant of the All Progressive Congress, (APC) in Ekiti state, Mr Olufemi Bamisile, has promised to make the State less dependent on revenue from the Federation Account, if elected Governor.

Bamisile, who spoke in Ado Ekiti on Thursday, said: “I have no doubt that the depth of my concern and commitment towards the growth and development of Ekiti State will ultimately translate into economic prosperity for the wellbeing of the citizens and residents of the State.

“I specifically seek the office of Governor to offer our State the needed visionary, purposeful, competent and exemplary leadership that will take us to higher grounds and greater heights.

“Only recently, we celebrated the 25th anniversary of the creation of Ekiti State. Expectedly, it was a time to take stock, reflect on the past and review the journey into the future.

“The underlining reason for the agitation for the creation of the State, which was to fast track the economic growth and development still remains our essential yearning request as I consult stakeholders and citizens of our great State.

“In spite of the moderate growth and development that we have recorded across the length and breadth of the State, we surely need to do more to transform Ekiti State into the economic realities that we desire.

“Since the task of building and developing the State into a prosperous and enviable society is a continuous process, it is therefore a thing of commitment for me to always strive not only to be a part of the efforts to make Ekiti State great, but also to lead and spearhead the onerous task of transforming our society into a more sustainable and prosperous one.

“In achieving this important goal of transforming Ekiti -State into a prosperous society, I have put in place a set of cardinal programmes that will be the guiding agenda of the government under my leadership.

“Paramount among these deliverables is Leadership and Good Governance. From my interactions with Ekiti kete, home and abroad, it is evident that the search and yearning for good leadership is top on the list of this desire.

“They yearn for the leadership that will tackle the challenges of insecurity, youth unemployment, poverty, and the resultant vicious economic cycle of low investment, low productivity and low income.

“While I will ensure an all-inclusive government, I will at the same time stand on a foundation of good governance principles and take full responsibility to continually do what is best to transform our State into a society where hope will replace despair, prosperity replacing poverty, peace and progress in place of insecurity.

“One remarkable goal that I intend to achieve with the implementation of the set of agenda that my government will pursue is to make Ekiti- State less dependent on fiscal revenue from the federation account by developing sustainable economic base built on the development of our natural endowments.

“I intend to vigorously pursue the development of resources and regenerate the depleting ones which have previously given us comparative advantages especially in Agriculture.

“In addition to the development of agriculture, I will also focus on the development of our human resources which ultimately will transform into the development of knowledge economy which had been initiated by the present administration.

“I will radically commission a team of experts that will profile our natural endowments in agriculture, water, hospitality, forestry, and mineral resources.

“My government will pursue the concept of value addition to all the resources available in the State to avoid leakages of benefits in investment and employment opportunities.

All is set for the Governorship Primary Election of the All Progressive Congress, (APC), in Ekiti State to pick the flagbearer for the June 20, election, as the party releases those that will vote in the primary.

From all indications, the party may likely adopt indirect primary to pick the Governorship candidate, despite opposition to the choice.

Two leading aspirants of the party, Senators Opeyemi Bamidele and Dayo Adeyeye have advised the National Leadership of the APC to adopt direct primary in the choice of the candidate.

This, according to them, will afford all members of the party to participate in the choice of a candidate and that whosoever emerged will enjoy the support of members.

However, it was gathered at the APC Secretariat in Ado Ekiti that preparations for the Primary Election, which holds on January, 27 are geared towards indirect primary.

It was learnt that those that will make the delegates list are already identified and are mainly elected political office holders currently serving and few past ones.

All Local Government Chairmen and their Vice, that were sworn-in last week, Wards and Local Government Executives are part of the list currently being circulated.

It is, however, not clear yet whether newly elected Councilors, who are yet to be sworn in or outgoing ones whose tenure has lapsed will be on the list.

Newly elected Chairmen and their Vice in the 20 newly created Local Council Development Authorities, (LCDA) will not participate in the Primary Election as their involvement may likely trigger litigations against winner of the election.

Leaders of the party who spoke on it explained that the issue of the LCDAs remains a complex one until they are legally recognized by the constitution.

Others that are expected to be part of about 2,597 delegates, are members of State Executive council and House of Assembly members.

Also, on the list are National Assembly members, Governor and Deputy  Governor, former Speakers of the House of Assembly and ex Governors who are members of the party.

Ben Ayade and Timothy Ogbang Akwaj

Cross River State Governor, Sir Ben Ayade, Thursday, swore-in a Journalist, Timothy Ogbang Akwaji, as the State’s new Head of Service. He is the first journalist to be so appointed.

Akwaji was variously Editor and Managing Director of the State-owned Newspaper, the Chronicle.

A consummate journalist,  he was Vice President, East, Nigerian Guild of Editors and also Financial Secretary of the Guild.

Until his appointment as Head of Service, Akwaji was Permanent Secretary, Cross River State Ministry of CIimate Change and International Development Corporation, MIDC respectively.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony held at the Executive Council Chamber of the Governor’s Office, Calabar, Ayade commended the new Head of Service for a harmonious working relationship with Commissioners of the various Ministries, especially, Dr Inyang Asibong, Commissioner for MIDC, where he served as Permanent Secretary.

According to the Governor, “I want this to be a lesson to all the Permanent Secretaries, that this is what the relationship between the Permanent Secretary and Commissioner should be.

“Within the short period of their working together, they have bonded to the point that she could cite his citation without almost reading it.”

Ayade noted: “It shows clearly that the cleavage that divides us is far seen than the ones that unite us. It shows that for a Commissioner a good attitude and conduct can bring his or her Permanent Secretary so close that they become one.”

Describing the new Head of Service as a distinguished scholar, a researcher, a fellow, an outstanding double masters degree holder in science genetics, management, public administration, as well as in journalism, a distinguished man in terms of attitude, integrity, character, honour and value, the governor said he has full confidence in him.

“I know you are self-charged. This is the first time I am swearing-in a permanent secretary without giving a charge because I believe that you will know the right thing to do,” Ayade said.

Responding, Akwaji expressed gratitude to the governor for appointing him, saying his appointment had excited the media community in Nigeria.

He assured the governor that as Head of Service, he will work conscientiously to drive productivity in the Cross River civil service.

“I will work with the Civil Service Commission and the Local Government Service Commission, two institutions of the service that are responsible for recruitment, promotion and discipline so that the two services would work smoothly and harmoniously with an aim to providing the key points upon which the laudable policies of government can seamlessly be implemented,” Akwaji said.

He pledged to ensure that promotion in the Civil Service is based on productivity. Key performers indicators, he said, will be introduced and reckoned with before anybody gets promoted.

Promising to tackle the issue of ghost workers headlong, the new Head of Service said: “We will try as much as possible to reconcile the nominal roll with the payroll so that Cross River State that has challenges of funds will not accommodate any criminal process in the payroll.”

Akwaji said there was need to reflate the workforce owing to the excision of Akwa Ibom from Cross River which left the state with depleted personnel who are at their various stages of retirement.

One Year To End Of Tenure, Buhari Inaugurates EFCC Board

Muhammadu Buhari

By Uche Mbah

One year to the end of his tenure, President Buhari has inaugurated the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s Board.

Buhari had dissolved the Board in 2016 after he was sworn-in as President in his first term, making the Commission to operate for six years without a Board.

The new Board is led by Abdulrasheed Bawa.

The Board was inaugurated Thursday in Abuja, by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation SGF, Boss Mustapha.

The Presidency had submitted the names of members to the Senate, which on the 5th October, 2021,  confirmed the nominations.

While inaugurating the Board, the SGF enjoined the members to put in their best  “to combat financial and economic crimes in the country.”

“Let me reiterate the fact that Governing Boards are creations of the enabling statutes of the various institutions, with the main responsibility for giving policy direction to Management, in order to contribute towards the developmental goals of Government”, he said.

“This presupposes that the Management should be allowed to execute its day-to-day activities without undue interference by the Boards.

“I therefore, expect that all hands will be on deck to generate robust policy initiatives that will help this administration achieve its fight against corruption and revamp the economy.

“Similarly, in carrying out your responsibility as Board Members, you must also eschew corruption totally as Government will not hesitate to sanction all infractions”.

The Executive Chairman of the board is AbdulRasheed Bawa, Mr George Abang Ekpungu will serve as Secretary.
