The Benue State Police Command has announced the recovery of a newborn baby stolen shortly after delivery in Gboko, Benue State.
The new born was stolen, just minutes after delivery at the Divisional Hospital in Gboko Local Council of Benue State in the early hours of Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

According to him, while some of the suspects are being held in Gboko, others are being detained at the State Police Command in Makurdi ,the State capital.
He, however, did not disclose the exact number of those so far arrested.
