The directive by President Muhammadu Buhar that all attempts to see him must pass through the Chief of staff, Abba Kyari may have already started to be affected as the embattled head of service, Winnifred Oyo Ita, was sighted in Aso Rock entering Abba Kyari’s office. Oyo Ita was conspicuously absent at the retreat by ministerial nominees. That retreat saw all senior members of the Buhari cabinet, including permanent secretaries in attendance.
She was expected have have given a speech with the title ‘Consolidating Ongoing Reforms in the Public Service” on Tuesday.
She was reported to have thrown in the towel by writing a letter of retirement to the presidency, to which the Presidency has not acknowledged receipt.
She is being investigated over a N3 billion fraud in the Civil Service.
