Tazkiyah University Zaria in Kaduna state , Northwest Nigeria, has emerged as Nigeria’s first female tertiary educational institution.
The University which is set to commence full academic activities in the 2026/2027 session has been designed to offer eligible female candidates the chance to enrol and study a coterie of programmes in Health Sciences , Management , Social Sciences and Computer related courses.
A statement from the Institution’s Registrar informed that applications are invited from qualified candidates ahead of the commencement of admission processes into its 2026/27 academic session, through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination UTME, Direct Entry or transfer admission routes.
According to the statement, available academic programmes include Nursing Sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences , Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Public Administration and Taxation.
Others are Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering and Information Technology.
According to the Registrar, the academic programmes have been structured to avail students of relevant knowledge and skills for the challenges ahead, as well as promoting character development, in keeping its philosophy of “Blending Knowledge with Noble Character”.
The University emphasized that students will equally be exposed to modern and state-of-the-art facilities, with dedicated staff members in addition to a conducive learning environment.
Similarly, less privileged and other eligible students will be encouraged through offer of scholarships and other financial assistance, as part of wider efforts at making quality education more accessible.
