Abiodun Sylvester Alabi, who was until now the Police Commissioner in Bauchi State, is slated to take over from Hakeem Odumosu as the Lagos State Police Commissioner.
Odumosu was recently promoted to an Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG, and is expected to proceed on his retirement leave.
Alabi is expeted to assume office next week.
Born on December 31, 1964, Alabi is a native of Ekiti State. A graduate of the University of Lagos, where he had a second class upper division in Sociology, he also has a masters degree.
He takes over Lagos Command well prepared for the task ahead.
