Kogi: Women Leader burnt Alive in Her Home by Suspected Thugs; Dino Heads for ICC, Hague

Tragedy struck Monday when suspected Political Thugs locked a woman up in her home and set the house ablaze while shooting her through the window to prevent an escape. The thugs were alleged loyalists of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The Woman was a People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Women leader.

PDP Wada/Aro Campaign Council spokesman Faruk Adejoh-Audu disclosed this in a statement.

“The Woman Leader of Wada Aro Campaign Council, Ochadamu Ward, Hon Mrs Acheju Abuh was this afternoon burnt alive in her home by jubilant Bello supporters and thugs said to be celebrating his victory,” Adejoh-Audu said.

According to him, the thugs who chanted GYB 4+4, arrived the victim’s-Hon (Mrs) Abuh’s- house in the early hours of the morning shooting sporadically, surrounding the house and blocking every exit and escape route from the house.

“They then poured petrol on the building and set it ablaze as other terrorized villagers watched from hiding” as she reportedly tried to escape through a window.

The Police are yet to make any arrest.

In a related development, Senator Dino Melaye, ere now the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District before the Court Judgment, piqued by the outcome of the outcome of the elections, has vowed to take the case to the international court of justice at The Hague, invariably calling his main opponents War Criminals.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, after a tumultuous and crisis ridden election, declared the election inconclusive. No date has been set aside for the conclusion of the rerun.

But in a tweet, Melaye swore to take his opponents to The Hague for War crimes, declaring that what was had in Kogi was a civil war.

“What we had in kogi is no election, what we had was a civil war that has claimed 16 lives so far. I will report Bello,Smart Adeyemi.Taofik,Speaker Kolawole and Sunday Faleke to the international community and then proceed to Hague. This i promise”, he tweeted, signing his name SDM.
