The New Nigeria People’s Party Transition, NNPP, says it has uncovered how the Governor of the state, Abdullahi Ganduje sold a government building worth N300m  to his son for N10 million.

The administration of Governor Ganduje has been marred in corruption, with his immediate family neck deep in it, since he came to power in 2015.

His wife and son have been fingered in some corruption cases in the state.

The allegation by NNPP  that  he disposed government property to his son cheaply did not come as a surprise to many.

The revelation was made by the NNPP transition Committee, headed by Dr Baffa Bichi, who said the incoming government in the state will used legitimate means to recover the property.

Bichi made the disclosure when his team visited the property, the Public Procurement Bureau Office located on the State Road near Laoyler Private Secondary, noting that Governor Ganduje has mortgaged the future of the state

“We are aware that this place is sold to his (Ganduje’s) son for less than N10m and the boy has since sold the place for N300m.

“We are deeply worried that the manner the outgoing government of Ganduje is mortgaging the common franchise and the common properties of the good people of Kano leaves much to be desired.

“This is vandalism; they are vandalising and uprooting every structure available in the state. This is not good for a government that was given good eight years but has now resorted to these unpatriotic actions,” he said.Bichi warned that whoever bought the property would have themselves to blame.

“We are not only going to recover anywhere that has been sold as public places but we will surely prosecute anybody who bought them.”

In its response, the state government said it’s not aware of the transaction.
