The people of Owerri Zone, one of the three Zones that make up the three Senatorial Zones in Imo State, will hold a crucial meeting on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020.
A Coalition of Owerri Re-awakening, a body comprising of all sociocultural organizations in Owerri Zone is the host.
The meeting coincides with the 3rd anniversary of the popular Egbu Declaration with the Theme, WHITHER THE IMO TRIPOD.
The event will take place at Mayfair Hotel, Egbu Road, Owerri, and is expected to be graced by the creme of prominent sons of Owerri Zone irrespective of party affiliation.
A release jointly signed by Hon. Oliver Enwerenem President Odinma Owerri, Dr. Fidel Onyeneke, President, Amala Owerri, and Chief Martin Opara, President Olu Owerri, confirmed that all stakeholders, the clergy, the academia, religious organizations, sociocultural organizations, Town Union President Generals, all political appointees, in the present and past Governments, have been duly invited for the auspicious occasion.
The meeting will provide the people of the Zone an opportunity to clinically appraise the position of Owerri Zone in Imo State political firmament vis -a -vis the Imo Tripod.The people will also make firm resolutions on the way forward.
The Egbu Declaration first took place in 2017 at All Saints Cathedral Egbu. It has become an annual unifying event of the people of Owerri Zone where critical decisions on the political fortunes of the zone are reached with unanimous resolutions.
