“I Will Suffer If Tinubu Loses Re-election In 2027, They Will Call For My Head” – Wike

Nyesom Wike, Minister for the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, has said he would suffer if President Bola Tinubu loses his re-election bid in 2027.

According to Wike, he has been so open, so consistent, in his support for President Tinubu’s re-election that he has become a target for those opposed to Tinubu.

He disclosed that should Atiku  Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, or Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, win the election, he would be the first target to suffer. The intensity of his campaign for Tinubu and his commitment to him, Wike insisted, has marked him out as the main target.

The Minister spoke in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Wednesday, during his routine Media Chat.

Wike: “I will be the first politician that I think they will come after. I will be the first politician. I know they will come for my head.

“Each day I sleep, I am thinking about the President’s re-election. When I am eating, I am thinking about the President’s re-election. Everything I am doing now is about the President’s re-election.

“I don’t see where anybody in this country today that has been called names the way my name has been. I am not bothered about people who say their own thing. My business is, like I said, I am going to support Mr President.”
