Some yet-to-be identified hoodlums have  attacked and vandalized the Nnewi Country home of Chief Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Lagos.

In a statement shared on his Facebook page on Tuesday, August, 11, 2026, Igbokwe lamented the persistent targeting of his residence by some criminal elements.

He has, therefore,  warned those behind the series of attacks and vandalization of his residence and property to desist forthwith, before he wages a war against them.

Chief Igbokwe who resides in Lagos, said for now he has decided to explore lawful pathways in handling the matter, but may be forced to go tough if the ugly trend persists.

He, particularly, recalled that the latest episode is coming on the heels of an attack and looting of his home in October 2021, noting that he has not been able to recover from the previous invasion.

According to him, he has not been able to rebuild the house after the 2021 attack owing to the monumental damage done to it.

“Last week, thieves invaded the house again and stole electricity cables and generator batteries.

“After two days, they came back to remove air conditioners”, he stated

He warned against some criminal elements in his hometown,  Nnewi, underestimating his capacity to fight back amidst the persistent harassment and invasion of his South east residence.

According to him, he has so far reported the recent incident to security agencies and relevant stakeholders, including the traditional ruler of his community.

“I do not want to take war to Nnewi, but some  idiots continue to underrate me. I have reported the matter to our Traditional Ruler, the Obi of Uruagu.

“I have also reported the matter to the Vigilante Group in our community. I advise the criminals in Nnewi to stay away from from my home in Uruagu Nnewi. To be forewarned is to be forearmed” Igbokwe fumed.
