Comfort Emmanson, the Passenger on Ibom Air, whose altercation and physical attack on Sunday, with the Airline’s Crew, Ground Staff and Airport Security, earned her an arrest, arraignment in Court, and a remand at the Kirikiri Prisons, has spoken for the first time. “I am in pains due to the way I was treated”, she said. She also said her first action now is to go to a hospital for medical attention.

She spoke after her discharge by an Ogba, Lagos, Magistrate Court following the withdrawal of the five-count charge earlier preferred against her by the Federal Government.

The FG had, in a surprise, but popular, move ordered her release following a strong backlash over the way her case was handled.

On release, she was whisked away by her friends who used their palms to cover her face to avoid the many photographers who were falling over themselves to get her photograph.

In a post on her Instagram page, Ms. Emmanson wrote: “Thank you so much for all the prayers, love and support. I’ve been released from the prison, but I’m still in pains due to how I was treated. I just need some rest and medical treatment before I give out my own version of the event. Thank you so much my lovely friends and supporters. I really  appreciate y’all from the button of my heart. God bless you y’all. THANK YOU MY GREAT GOD.!!!”
