Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has lost one of his aides, Lucky Chukwu, a Lawyer to death.
Chukwu until his death, was a Special Assistant to the Enugu State Governor.
His sudden death was announced by his brother, Senator Kelvin Chukwu, who represents Enugu East Senatorial District.
In a Press Statement issued on Sunday, October 11, 2026, to anmounce his brother’s death, the Senator’s Head of Media, Amb. Dr. Ogomegbunam Success Nwoye, described the deceased as an astute public servant and politician.
It added that the Chukwu Family has been left devastated and traumatised following the sad incident.
The statement further added that Senator Kelvin Chukwu has suspended all political activities and engagements for one week to mourn his elder brother.
“Senator Chukwu, who is mourning his elder brother, has, therefore, cancelled all his political activities/engagements for a week,” the statement read.
The Lawmaker also called on the people of Enugu East Senatorial District to join his family in mourning the deceased, whom the statement described as an “erudite son of Nkanuland.”
He prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul.
“May God rest the soul of Chief Lucky Chukwu,” the statement added.
