Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke,  stole the show at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress’ Presidential Campaign Council at the State House, Abuja, on Wednesday.

Adeleke, a member of the Accord Party, like his Anambra State counterpart, Professor Chukwuma Soludo and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, are among the non APC members incorporated into the APC-PCC.

While Adeleke will lead the President’s Campaign in Osun State, Soludo would lead Anambra State’s, while Wike would lead the FCT and Rivers State.

At the Inauguration, Adeleke, who turned out in a three piece rich Ashoke and his signature cap, stole the show.

He was the star.

When he was called out to deliver his goodwill message, he did it in style. He stepped out with his signature dance for which he is very popular. He danced to the podium. Danced some more, delivered his speech, and told the high profile audience that in 2027, they would dance to Aso Rock. He ended his short beautiful speech by singing praises to God in three Nigerian languages  – Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa. The audience sang along with him.

Then he stepped down and danced all the way to where the President and First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu sat. Both stood up to greet him. The First Lady received him by dancing with him. Thereafter, he danced all the way down, greeting  Vice President Kashim Shettima and his lovely wife, Nana and others on the front row.

The Governor, whose appointment to the APC-PCC took many by surprise, considering that the Minister for Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, is the leader of the APC in Osun State, was given a loud ovation in appreciation of his heart-warming dance steps.

For the records, Oyetola was defeated by Adeleke, and so succeeded him in office. Four years later, he also, roundly, defeated Oyetola’s preferred candidate for the office of the Osun State Governor.
