Kehinde, popular known as Kblaq, a Nigerian Amateur Boxer never had the premonition that death was lurking around him that Sunday afternoon of November 1 2026, at Olodo Garage in Ibadan, Oyo State.
It was gathered that Kblaq had a little disagreement with some people in the garage which led to a brawl.
The matter was addressed by elderly people in the Garage and sanity was restored.
But unknown to everybody, a young man who was not involved in the fight had a broken bottle with him, and suddenly ran towards Kblaq and stabbed him in the neck.
Kblaq was in a pool of blood and died instantly after the assailant stabbed him.
As the assailant tried to escaped the scene, he was nabbed.
Witnesses said the assailant was not involved in the initial confrontation but appeared after the brawl had ended and stabbed Kehinde in the neck with a broken bottle.
An X user, @omononaolapo, wrote, “Funny enough, this guy that stabbed him was not even among those that were fighting.”
Another X user, @Pelumifundz, said the victim was a “gentle” person who stayed away from trouble.
He added that the victim was a friend’s younger brother.
A social media user on X, mourning the deceased, raised the alarm and called on the Nigeria Police Force to step in and address the situation.
The user wrote, “Dem shock my guy for neck yesterday and he died instantly, this happened at Olodo garage.”
Confirming the incident, Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, said the case has been reported and the assailant in their custody. He promised that justice will be served.
Alayande added that the Police command has, also, launched an investigation into the incident.
The motive of the assailant said to be a Commercial Motorcyclist, remains unknown.
