The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court has adjourned a suit involving Jordan Wike, son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike until December 1 for hearing.
Two claimants have petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over an alleged failed $2.1 million land transaction involving Jordan Wike.
The petitioners, Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited, alleged that they paid $2 million for land allocations in Katampe and Guzape, alongside a $100,000 facilitation fee.
They claimed Jordan promised delivery within a month, but failed to fulfil the agreement.
Their lawyer, Ibrahim Waru, said the EFCC acknowledged the petition. However, Jordan denied the allegations, presenting his international passport to dispute his presence in Nigeria on the alleged payment date.
The upcoming proceedings are expected to provide further insight into the disputed transaction and the parties’ competing claims.
