CSR: Access Bank To Build Classrooms In Northern Nigeria

The Managing Director of Access Bank UK, Jamie Simmonds has disclosed that proceeds from this year’s Polo Day hosted by the commercial bank will be used for the construction of blocks of classrooms in schools in Northern Nigeria.

An annual event hosted by the financial services provider,  this year’s event will be held in Windsor, the commercial bank said.

According to Simmonds, whatever is raised this year from the event will be used to provide classrooms for some undeserved communities in the northern part of the country, saying the initiative is aimed at addressing the shortage of learning facilities in the region, in other to encourage children of school age to have access to education like their counterparts in other parts of the country, adding that the initiative has made serious impact on many communities over the years,
