He never saw it coming. Few days ago he donated One Million Euro to the Spanish Government as his own quota to the fight against the deadly Pandemic, COVID-19 .
Sadly, COVID-19 has taken away his mother, Dolors Sala Carrio, at age 82 years of age.
Manchester City Football Club Coach, Pep Guardiola, is mourning. He has just lost his aged mother to Coronavirus.
Having contracted the virus, the old lady fought hard to overcome it, but eventually succumbed.
A statement by Manchester City, mourning the demise of Guardiola’s Mother, said: “The Manchester City family are devastated to report the death, today, of Pep’s mother Dolors Sala Carrió in Manresa, Barcelona after contracting Corona Virus.
“Everyone associated with the club sends their most heartfelt sympathy at this most distressing time to Pep, his family and all their friends.”
