COVID-19 has knocked down its most potent adversary.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. AKin Abayomi, has tested positive for the pandemic COVID-19.
The State Ministry of Health made this known Monday morning in a post on its official Twitter handle.
It wrote: “@ProfAkinAbayomi Confirmed Positive for #COVID19
“Subsequent to close contact with persons feeling unwell and testing positive for the #COVID19 infection, the Honorable Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, has tested positive for the virus.”
Prof Abayomi has been at the forefront in the fight against the spread of the virus in the State.
He is presently in isolation, being treated for the Virus.
