Nigerian in Wuhan, the epicenter of the coronavirus, are currently trapped due to city lockdown by the Chinese government, just as China has stopped all issuance of visa to Nigerians. Nigeria is yet to make any effort at evacuation of her citizens from China.

All information about the pandemic disease on the safety of Nigerians are coming from the Chinese authorities. The Nigerian embassy is still battling with its website update to consider the issue of evacuation of citizens.
This magazine had reported that the Nigerian Embassy in China still had Goodluck Jonathan as president six years after he left office.
Though the Chinese authorities have said that no Nigerian in Wunam has been infected with the Virus, there were rumors that a Chinese returnee has been quarantined in a private hospital in Lekki axis of Lagos but the Lagos state government has clarified issues, saying that the returnee Chinese (names withheld) had to “self Quarantine” in line with the Ministry of Health directives. He was told to report to the hospital for check up, which he did but there was no indications he had the virus. He was sent back home to complete his self quarantine.
This is the first time the government is recommending self quarantine for people with contagious diseases-a situation that analysts decried, asking whether Nigerians would have survived Ebola if Patrick Sawyer was allowed to self quarantine.
Coronavirus has been spreading faster than expected-as at present, it has overtaken SARS, another epidermic that had hit China in the past-amid the conspiracy that it may have been a virulent strain of an already existing virus, which was patented in Europe.
Conspiracy theorists in the past have also accused Deep State of creating Aids, SARS and Ebola in the laboratory as part of World depopulation agenda. There has not been a full proof empirical research to support this, though the debate is still ongoing.
