The Nigeria Music Industry has been thrown into mourning following the tragic death of a budding musician, Oju Ika.
Oju Ika died during a robbery incident in Lagos during which he was stabbed to death by the robbers.
His death was broken by fellow artiste, Bolisco.
Bolisco said the robbers invaded a serviced apartment along the Joke Ayo/Ikola Alagbado axis in the early hours of Tuesday, September 22. He, also, said the robbers targeted Bolisco and members of his team, making away with valuables including mobile phones and gold chains.
He added that what started as robbery then took a tragic turn when Oju Ika, who was said to be an associate of Bolisco, was attacked.
His account of the robbery incident has it that Oju Ika was stabbed multiple times by the robbers during the incident.
Bolisco said he was rushed to a nearby hospital and taken to the medical facility emergency unit, but efforts to save his life proved abortive, as he was confirmed to have died.
This development has been reported to the Lagos State Police Command, which has commenced investigation.
The investigation by Police is to unravel and establish exactly what happened and identify those responsible.
