These are not the best of times for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State.
On Wednesday, he joined the list of State Governors who have tested positive for COVID-19.
But his seems worse than those of his brother- governors. His wife, Edith, and daughter are also positive.
His daughter was the first victim of the Virus, forcing him and his wife to go into isolation. The results for both of them, came out positive.
Announcing it on his verfied Twitter handle, the Governor said: “My wife and I have tested positive for COVID-19. We are well, and continuing with our Isolation/medication. We thank you all for your continued prayers for us and our daughter.”
His Chief Press Secretary, Olisa Ifeajika, in another statement said, “The Governor and his family members will immediately commence self-isolation for 14 days.
Other Governors who had earlier contracted the Virus, include: Nasir El-Rufai, Kaduna, Bala Mohammed, Bauchi, Seyi Makinde, Oyo, Okezie Ikpeazu, Abia, and Rotimi Akeredolu, Ondo.
Ikpeazu is still at an Isolation centre in Abuja.
