The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and incumbent Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has opened a wide lead in the just concluded Edo Governorship Election.

Oshiomhole confirmed his electoral supremacy over everybody, and especially,  Deputy Governor/ Obaseki’s running mate, Philip Shaibu, by picking all the votes there were to pick, leaving Shaibu with zero votes.

Oshiomhole went on to deliver the Estako LGA, where both he and Shaibu hall from, to the APC. The APC polled 26, 240 to PDP’s 17,959.

Ize-Iyamu’s running mate also hails from the same LGA.

Shaibu had boasted that he would deliver the LGA to the PDP in a landslide, and defeat Oshiomhole in his ward.
