The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, has placed veteran Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, KWAM 1, on a ‘no-fly’ list. The action, which bars him from flying will last for a period of six months.
The ban was triggered by a breach of Airport Security Rules by the the artist at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
KWAM 1 will not be permitted to travel by Air from any Nigerian Airport for the next six months.
Preliminary report from FAAN accused the Musician of carrying Alcohol in a flask, spilling alcohol on Airport Security Personnel and the Pilot of ValueJet Airlines when he was denied boarding the Aircraft.
Though KWAM 1 issued a statement asserting that the content of his flask was “a plain water” and not “alcohol” as claimed by FAAN.
Kwam 1 unruly behaviour also resulted in the suspension of two Pilots of ValueJet Airlines for moving the Aircraft when the musician stood in front of it, and allegedly refused to give way. The action of the Captain and co-Pilot was interpreted as endangering the safety of Kwam 1 and others.
