The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Timipre Sylva has accused the military of working against him in the ongoing governorship election.
According to the former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, the security agencies are working for the incumbent, Governor Douye Diri.
Sylva accused soldiers of preventing his supporters from voting for him in Yenagoa Local Government Area of the state.
Governor Diri is up against Sylva who has ruled the state before, and suggestion from those watching the ongoing governorship election, is that the incumbent is likely to be returned to office.
Apartt from Governor Diri, the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and Sylva, the other serious candidate in the election is Udengs Eradiri of the Labour Party, LP.
