The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, says President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure a fresh four year term in office.
Prof. Yiltwada made the assertion to State House correspondents after he met with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja the nation’s capital.
According to the APC National Chairman, the incumbent who’s also the candidate of the party, will have a smooth sail in the 2027 election because major opposition parties in the country have pledge to work for his reelection.
He stressed that political parties such as the PDP, APGA, Accord Party have endorsed Tinubu’s return to power next year, saying the development indicates that most Nigerians are supporting him.
Yiltwada:”If you look at what the party is doing now, the oppositions are with us. All political parties that have defeated us in any election are all with us; PDP is with us, APGA is with us, Accord Party with us. These are the only political parties that have defeated us, except APM, and they are all with us in this campaign.
“It shows that the entire Nigerian political cycle is Mr. President, and that’s what we’re doing now to ensure that we prepare for this grand flag off in Kaduna.’’
President Tinubu whose tenure is billed to end on May 29, 2027 has been declared the APC candidate for the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
His major opponents are Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, and Peter Obi of the National Democratic Congress, NDC.
Political pundits have described the election as a three-horse race between Tinubu, Abubakar and Obi who had earlier in 2023 contested the Nigerian presidency which the incumbent won according to the declaration of the nation’s election umpire INEC.
