A Night Club in Oba, Anambra State, identified as Porsche, came under heavy attack by gunmen Sunday night.
The gunmen were on a deadly mission to kidnap the owner of the popular Night Club.
However, they met a stiff resistance from a number of security guards at the Night Club.
That infuriated the gunmen, and they embarked on an indiscriminate shooting and massacre spree.
In the process, a number of clubbers were gruesomely mowed down. The number of the dead was put at seven. It was a gory scene to watch. Blood was like water. Many were hit by bullets, and are hospitalised.
A Security Guard at the Night Club who was in the forefront of the resistance to kidnap the owner, was gruesomely murdered. He was beheaded. Another had his two legs cut off. A couple of others were massacred.
Unconfirmed reports say the owner of the Club was eventually abducted, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
The Anambra State Police Command has not yet issued a statement on the tragic incident.
