The Central Criminal Court in the United Kingdom has adjourned the organ harvesting case involving Senator Ike Ekweremadu and his wife till October 31st.

Ekweremadu, who appeared in court on Thursday, was charged alongside his wife, Nwanneka, for facilitating the travel of an alleged minor to the United Kingdom for the purpose of organ harvesting. Both Ekweremadu and wife pleaded not guilty, but nevertheless were denied bail by the Oxbridge Magistrate Court.

The case was moved to a Crown Court. But on July 22, his wife Beatrice Nwanneka was granted bail under stringent conditions.

Adamu Bulkachuwa, Senate Committee Chairman on Foreign Affairs, represented the Senate in Court, according to reports.
