The Nollywood Industry has once again been thrown into mourning following the death of popular actress, writer and producer, Temitope Osoba.
The actress has been battling with Breast Cancer for years before she finally died on Tuesday at the age of 40 Years.
Announcing her passing was her colleague, Foluke Daramola,who broke the news on Wednesday via her Instagram page.
Daramola shared a heartbreak emoji and wrote, “She’s gone .tope is gone , my baby is gone Ha ha ha iku doro o”.

Actor Emeka Okoye posted a tribute with an image bearing the words “RIP” and captioned it, “Am Broken, Oh Lord please have mercy”.
Actress Abiodun Olatunji also paid tribute, writing: “In Loving Memory of our Dear Colleague and friend Temitope Osoba
“It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to a wonderful colleague and friend, Temitope Osoba. The news of your passing yesterday came as a great shock, and it’s still hard to believe you’re no longer with us.
“You were more than a colleague—you were a kind, humble, and caring person whose presence brightened every room. Your dedication, warmth, and genuine heart touched the lives of so many people.
“Though your time with us was cut short, the memories you left behind will remain in our hearts forever. Your kindness, laughter, and the impact you made will never be forgotten.
“I pray that God grants you eternal rest and comforts your family, friends, and everyone grieving this painful loss. May He give us the strength to accept what we cannot understand and the grace to hold on to the beautiful memories we shared.
“Rest in perfect peace, Temitope Osoba. Your memory will always live on in our hearts. You are deeply missed and will never be forgotten”.
Recall that in November 2024, the actress had solicited financial assistance after undergoing her first Breast Cancer Surgery.

Other colleagues, including Alesh Sanni and Tawa Ajisefini, also joined the appeal.
According to her, Osoba has already undergone one surgery but requires an additional procedure to remove the remaining particles from her breast.
The second surgery is estimated to cost around N12 million.
Daramola shared a video of Osoba’s hospital examination, revealing that the actress has reached out to Bolaji Amusan, President, Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN, for support.
In an interview with BBC News Yoruba, Osoba revealed that she discovered a lump in her breast through a routine self-examination.
She said the doctor initially dismissed the lump, attributing it to her childbearing age.
The actress said her persistence, however, led to further testing, which revealed that the lump was cancerous.
Osoba described the day she received the diagnosis as “one of the worst days of my life”.
She is an orphan. She is also the first child of her Father and the only Child of her Mother.
After losing her parents at a young age, Osoba was raised by her grandparents.
Before joining the movie industry, she attended primary and secondary school in Lagos.
She later studied Business Education at Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ogun State.
Over the years, Temitope built a career across acting, writing and producing.
She was widely known for her talent, dedication to her craft, and contributions to Nollywood storytelling.
Colleagues, friends and fans have expressed sadness over her passing, remembering her passion for film and her commitment to telling Nigerian stories.
The industry continues to reflect on her work and the impact she made during her career.
