Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers and his Kano state counterpart, Abdullahi Ganduje, are presently at loggerheads. Both parties are threatening fire and brimstone, and may end up in court.
The reason for this brickbats is the alleged demolition of a mosque in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, on the orders of Wike, for which Ganduje threatened to institute a legal action against Wike.
Wike’s spokesperson, Nwakandu said that Ganduje was just raising empty threats as Wike is not dollar currency that Ganduje can pocket sheepishly and recklessly.
Nwakandu stressed that Ganduje is just blabbing as he has no power to dictate where and how the Rivers State Government can bring about developmental strides to the State, insisting that no Mosque was demolished in the State.
He added that Ganduje played a pivotal role for the All Progressive Congress, APC, during the 2019 elections and the re-run in Rivers State, just to see Wike lose, but was defeated by Wike
He also added that Wike is ready for Ganduje, and id waiting for him to proceed to Court.
