His sack is a consequence of the declaration by the Court the congresses which produced him are null and void.

The Honourable Justice Godswill Ogbomanu’s , came on the heels of an earlier court order which restrained the APC from conducting any of its its  congresses – Ward, Local  Government or State.

The Court upbraided the party’s actions and said it acted in defiance of the its directive and so  undermined judicial authority.

Consequently, a fine to the tune of   ₦10 million was imposed on the party. Emenike Ebette who was the claimant said that the APC held the congresses in brazen disregard  of legal processes. His Counsel praised the  Court’s decision, and said it has that it has restored fairness and the integrity of the Court.

One of the fallout of the judgment is that it has  invalidated all decisions reached during the congresses, and so, sacked Okocha’s election as chairman.

Okocha, a former PDP chieftain and former Chief of Staff and ally of Rotimi Amaechi as Governor of the State, turned 360 degrees, became Wike’s Ally and has since been tackling Amaechi.
