Ekiti State University, (EKSU), Ado Ekiti has clarified that some of its past graduands could not collect their certificates due to non compliance with instructions.
Reacting to report over inability of graduands to collect their result, EKSU management explained that some of the affected former students uploaded effigies instead of their passport photographs into the university portal.
A statement on Wednesday by Bide Olofinmuagun, Deputy Registrar/Head, Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs stated that its graduands have been collecting their certificates and transcripts seamlessly immediately after graduation so far such graduates comply with the laid down rules and regulations.
“All graduands both from the main campus and affiliated colleges, who complied with the university specifications collected their certificates on the day of convocation.
“Members of the public are to note that only those who failed to comply with the directives are the ones having challenges in collecting their certificates.
“The university Management came up with an innovation whereby passport photographs of graduates are embossed on the certificates.
“Students were directed and sensitized on how to upload their passport photographs on the university website giving certain specifications as far back as year 2022.
“However, some of these students refused to adhere to the specifications by uploading effigies and diverting from the specifications.
“Certificates in institutions all over the world are issued with individual institution having its own peculiar features since certificates from an institution cannot carry different specifications.
“The concerned graduates could not collect their certificates due to their refusal to comply with the approved specifications.
“Our graduates from the Kwara State College of Education in Oro having this challenge are hereby advised to do the needful so that they can collect their certificates without further delay.”
