Fuji maestro, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, Popularly known as KWAM 1 is enmeshed in a controversy that could cost him the high profile title bestowed on him by the Alaafin of Oyo.

If the Association of Broadcasters have its way, the controversy-prone artiste would be stripped of the title.

Recently alleged to have been flirting with one of the Queens of the Alaafin of Oyo, HRH Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Iku Baba Yeye, wives, (both of them vehemently denied what they termed an abomination) KWAM 1 has, again, been named in another controversy.

This time, he allegedly brutalised an Ogun State based broadcaster, Wole Sorunke, aka, MC Murphy.

For that, the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria, FIBAN, slammed the Fuji music star.

The incident took place on Thursday night at the 60th birthday party of the Olu of Itori in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, Oba Abdulfatai Akorede Akamo.

Addressing journalists in Abeokuta, Ogun State, the National President of FIBAN Desmond Nwachukwu, described the incident as unbecoming of the fuji star and holder of the Mayegun of Yorubaland title.

According to Nwachukwu, Ayinde, brutalised, harassed, assaulted and humiliated the broadcaster and the association for his conduct and actions. It is disgraceful, the association said.

Nwachukwu said Ayinde’s conduct was a mockery of the Yoruba race, as well as the title bestowed on him by the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.

The FIBAN President appealed to the reverred monarch to immediately strip the Fuji star of the title, describing him as unfit.

Nwachukwu stressed that the leadership of FIBAN had reported the matter to the security agencies and vowed to take legal actions to ensure justice is done.

“We would like to tell his Majesty that, Yes, we are all humans and we can make mistakes. This is a grave mistake he has done because as far as we are concerned the holder of Mayegun of Yorubaland title must be a man that commands respect and carries himself pretty well, understanding that the image of his Majesty and the entire Yoruba race is what he goes about with”.
