The rave of the moment, the victorious Super Falcons team stormed Lagos Streets on Wednesday showing off their coveted Women’s African Cup of Nations, WAFCON, Trophy. The Super Ladies were cheered no end by appreciative Lagosians.

The parade, which began at Costain and moved through major points including Eko Bridge, Apogbon, Obalende, Ikoyi Road, and Victoria Island, ended at Eko Hotel and Suites.

Fans waved flags and cheered the team at various stops, honoring their sensational victory and triumph.

The Coach Justin Maduagu led team won their 10th WAFCON popular as ‘Mission X’, to become the most successful continental Champions in the World.

The Super Team are still buzzing from their Presidential Reception in Abuja, where President Bola Ahmed Tinubu awarded each player $100,000, a National Honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger, OON, and a Three-Dedroom Apartment, while other Officials of the Team received $50,000 each.

The Super Falcons made history last Saturday by claiming their record-extending 10th WAFCON title, rallying from two goals down to defeat host nation Morocco 3-2 in a thrilling final.

Second-half goals from Esther Okoronkwo, Folashade Ijamilusi, and Jennifer Echegini sealed the remarkable comeback victory.

Their path to the title was nothing short of dominant topping their group with Seven Points and no goals conceded.

They proceeded by defeating the Copper Ladies of Zambia 5-0

in the quarter-finals, before edging South Africa 2-1 in the semi final, and staging a dramatic final comeback.
