The Nigeria Movie Industry, Nollywood has lost one of its Veteran Actresses, Cynthia Okereke, to the cold hands of death.
The death of the Actress was made public in various social media platforms Wednesday morning by Filmmaker, Joseph Okechukwu, who was on the verge of sending the late actress a flight ticket for a movie production in the United States of America.
Disclosing her death, Okechukwu took to his social media platform and wrote, “ REST IN PEACE, Nwanyi oma. I’m shattered beyond words. The fact that I was about to pay for your flight ticket to come finish what we started only to hear you went to be with Lord just last night is one of the toughest things I’ve ever had to deal with in recent times. I pray I’m able to recover from this shock. Life is really just a mist. One minute you have it, the next you don’t.
“For the more than 20 years that I’ve known you, you’ve been such an amazing, decent and lovely soul to be around. I never imagined you’d exit so unceremoniously. Words fail me.
“Sleep on, Cynthia. May your gentle soul rest on till we meet again in glory.”
It would be recalled that the late Cynthia Okereke was kidnapped 12 months ago in Enugu, spending days in the kidnappers den before he was released.
Though details of his release then was not disclosed or how much ransom was paid before she was freed alongside some of her other colleagues.
She would be sorely missed by her colleagues in the Make-believe industry for her good interpretation of roles.
