Veteran Nollywood Actor, Sadiq Daba’s Health Worsens, May Lose His Sight

Veteran Nollywood Actor and former Broadcaster, Sadiq Abubakar Daba’s health has deteriorated. If not properly attended to, he may lose one of his eyes.

Daba had been diagnosed with Leukamia – Cancer of the blood – and Prostate Cancer in November 2017, which, since then, had seen him off the movie radar.

Olutade Simon, a journalist, took to Twitter to announce Daba’s State of health saying it has worsened over these few weeks. “He is on the verge of losing one of his sight”, he alerted.

Simon, however, used the avenue to ask for an urgent help for the ailing actor.

The Journalist asked Nigerian politicians such as the Vice President of the country, the Lagos State Governor, and the governor of Ogun State to come to the help of one of the veterans of the movie industry, who is presently dying,  and in need of help so as to be back on his feet.

In 2015, the Professionalism with which Daba interpreted his roles in movies won him  the Africa Movie Academy Award, Best actor,  for his role as “Inspector Waziri” in the movie “October 1″. It was directed  by Kunle Afolayan.

Daba has been hospitalized, for over one year,  due to leukemia and Prostate Cancer.
