Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has suspended, from office, the Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Dr. Julie Onyeukwu.
Her suspension was announced in a Press Statement issued on October 3, 2025, by Declan Emelumba, Honourable Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation and Strategy.
The reason behind Dr. Onyeukwu’s fate was not disclosed, but she was asked to handover, with immediate effect, all the Commission’s property in her custody to the Permanent Secretary, or the most senior staff in the Commission.
Dr. Onyeukwu was reappointed as the Chairman of the Commission in January 2025 by Governor Uzodinma.
