In the new arrangement, the Ministry will now be known as the Imo State Ministry of Health with Dr. (Mrs.) Vivian Egu as the Commissioner.

Before now, the State was operating two Health Ministries – the Ministry of Tertiary Health and the Ministry of Primary Health.

The Secretary to the State Government, Chief Cosmos Iwu said in a statement Thursday that “Consequently, the newly consolidated ministry shall be known and addressed as the Imo State Ministry of Health, with Dr. Mrs Vivian Egu continuing as Commissioner.”
