The authority of Unity Bank Plc has disclosed that it’s already investigating the fire incident that occurred earlier today at its head office in Lagos with a view to unraveling the cause.
“We regret to inform the public that there was a fire incident on one of the floors of our head office building early this morning.
The cause of the fire incident is yet to be ascertained but the fire service has intervened and has brought the situation under control,” a statement signed by Matthew Obiazikwor , spokesman of the bank said.
According to the statement made available to the magazine, the bank stated that it’s still working to ascertain the level of the damage done by the fire incident but “we are happy to note that there was no casualty or loss of life as a result of the incident.
From current observations, however, the Banking hall and other strategic areas were not affected,” so business transactions with the customers are still being carried out at the office, the statement said.
